I attended Sydney College of Chiropractic, (which is now part of Macquarie University). I was thrilled when right from day 1 I was learning about the body, anatomy and the nervous system. I loved it! I had found my purpose in life.
The course included neurology, the musculo-skeletal system, biochemistry, kinesiology, physiology, and pathology, x-rays, diagnosis and adjusting techniques. It also included practical patient care in our outpatient’s clinic.
At Macquarie University the Chiropractic master’s degree is a 5 year full time course.
During my final 2 years of education I worked with a Chiropractor and gained a lot of practical experience. She was my mentor and I loved her passion and enthusiasm, it certainly rubbed off onto me.
After graduating to become a Dr of Chiropractic in 1982 I began practice in North Bondi and have been here for 35 years. I did a post grad course in Chinese Acupuncture which I have found very beneficial for my patients over the years.
I found the Gonstead System of Chiropractic in 1990 and this took my Chiropractic skills and passion to the next level. My results improved as my analysis and specificity in adjusting the spine improved. My learning continued.
