Symptoms typically start gradually may be through the night. Pain may extend up into the arm. As it worsens you may have a weakness in grip strength. The muscles at the base of the thumb may waste away. In more than half the cases both sides are affected.
There may be a bone fixated in the wrist causing increased pressure through the carpel tunnel. There may also be irritation from a central lesion in the neck, this may also aggravate both sides to become involve.
We will adjust these misalignments so your body may heal to its optimum potential. We will also examine your wrist to correct any bones that are causing increased pressure and swelling through the carpel tunnel.
We may give you exercises and sometimes we will recommend a splint.
The sooner you get some treatment the better.
